The Never Ending Short Story of K

He woke up suddenly. His sight took a time to focus on his surroundings. It was a room without windows or doors. He felt as if he had woken up from a very long sleep. His extremities felt rested but also heavy and slow. He got up from the inflatable mattress he was laying down on. Confused tried to remember why was he there. Then he realized that he didn't remember absolutely anything. He approached a corner where a toilet, a sink and a mirror were placed. Reflected on the mirror he read the letter K written with a marker pen on his right temple. He examined the writing but couldn't find any meaning. Looking straight at his reflection he realized that he couldn't remember himself either. Probably amnesia he thought. The room looked too awkward to be part of a clinic. It looked like he had been drugged and kidnapped. But all this was still a guess. Anyway, it didn't seem too wise to wait for someone with an answer. Maybe that could end with a violent situation rather than a conversation. Whatever was happening, it wasn't good. A strong need to get out of there filled his body and he could feel how the adrenaline started to run. Nevertheless, his body felt heavy and his thoughts slow.
