Water We Doing? is a feature length documentary dedicated to spotlighting the frontline of "blue-tech" innovations. Our planet is facing a water crisis - as populations expand, so do our resource requirements, particularly with water. The growing logistical challenges of providing fresh, clean drinking water to the entire globe are not only varied, but difficult region to region. This challenge is only exacerbated by the looming threat of climate change. So what are we doing? What is our society doing to directly grapple with this obstacle? In the United States, we are a nation full of innovators and engineers - brilliant minds dedicated to important causes; but those who work in the "blue-tech" field have a goal that is not only essential to achieve, but will be revolutionary if they are successful. Our film follows the story of multiple innovative companies on the front line of clean water technology. Through the journey of entrepreneurial start ups and wisdom of economic development councils in this sector - Water We Doing? lays the framework for all of us to mindfully consider how precious our water truly is. The challenge of clean water is complex - we're facing not only major issues like pollution and regulation hurdles, but also obstacles in the way of logistical distribution of the resource, recycling and reuse, and the development of more efficient and practical technology.
