Reshmigathi (1988)

Vishnu and Nima are blessed with a daughter whom they lovingly call Shimpli who brings luck to them in every aspects Vishnu keeps on achieving success and credits Shimpli for it. Years later Shimpli is of marriageable age and her parents plan her to marry and American return Babu (Bob) whose family follows western culture.But Simpli falls in falls in love with Raju who works as driver to deliver flowers their relationship is opposed by her parents and they plan to elope.Vishnu tries to become western like Babu and fix marriage with Shimpli but finds he has adopted Indian culture.When Shimpli tries to commit suicide as her marriage is getting fixed to Babu, Vishnu agrees to marry her with Raju but finds he is wasting his hard earned money.
