Girls who are transported as cattle to a sex market where they are forced to serve in brothels with threats and violence until they are worn out and ill. Then they are thrown out on the street or even murdered. In the home village they are not welcome. Between 100,000 and 200,000 Nepalese girls are currently in Indian brothels. In Bombay alone, there are almost 50,000. They have a higher value in the sex market than their Indian counterparts. Their high cheekbones and pale skin are considered particularly attractive. The youngest are surrounded by myths that sexual intercourse with them provides health and youth, and even cures HIV / AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases.
