Within every township in Cape Town are rows of carefully lined-up chemical toilets that are provided by the City Council. According to the Constitution of South Africa, while these toilets aren't a clear violation of human rights, they clearly impact one's dignity, health and safety. The film looks at the lives of the forgotten communities who are subjected to use these dehumanizing toilets that come with a lack of consistent service delivery. With the help of a social justice coalition activist and community councilor, the film dives deep into the danger and crime that are associated with using these toilets during the day, and even more so at night. The film revisits a protest that took place in 2012/13 where the community members, fed up with the lack of service delivery, took to the streets as a cry for help. What started out as a temporary situation has now become permanent in many places, and these community members pray for the day they'll get flush toilets just like every other privileged South African.
