Finding True Grit (2014)

To discover in which ways she is changing Grit has turned the lens on herself and asked her close friends back home in Copenhagen to imagine and create the scenes to her life, as a new film student living in Prague. Now as an actor in her own reality, Grit is trying to find True Grit by acting in the way that others perceive her, yet as time passes, she starts to feel like the scenes become more and more distorted and strange. Finding True Grit is an experimental short doc using elements of Autofiction, which is build with small pieces of staged situations to highlight the moments in which a person shifts from being one thing to another. A visual travel diary, moving postcards, a coming of age, an awkward comedy. It will take you through funny, embarrassing, surprising and poetic moments, as a young woman tries to understand her identity while it's changing.
