When 9-year-old Aven was told he couldn't enter his films into film festivals because they only accepted "kid films created by adults," he turned that rejection into a challenge. With the help of his parents, Dustin and Katherine, Aven set out to create the first ever Kid Film Fest, a film festival for kids, by kids. Though it took a lot of hard work, a few online calls for entries, and the help of his friends, in a few short weeks Aven rolled out the red carpet and gave other aspiring young filmmakers a chance to see their awesome films on the big screen. Watch to see how this creative kid made his dream happen.
