Absence of Her (2016)

"The body is a genius, holistic organism - The body holds memories and abuse in cellular membranes". This a quote spoken by Eve Ensler, and it is something Nicole Bogdanovic holds true to her heart. She says "If our minds try to forget experiences of abuse, our bodies will remind us, and they tell us of that pain during strange moments in our lives". The short film "Absence of Her" is about how the abuse of a woman's body is remembered. It also discusses society's obsession to objectify and sexualize women's bodies and how it is hurting our perceptions of how we see women. And at this moment in history, women refuse to be silent about their experiences with abuse and are fighting for the future of women.
