Figli del fiume

On the Po River, Italy, where water, earth and sky seem to be one and the thin line between dreamed and truly happened can be confused, three men, searching for an otherworldly happiness, have strange supernatural experiences. Gianni tells of an alien encounter and hopes for another contact, to escape to other worlds and find happiness. In the river, Paolo perceives a door for the afterlife and he carries out paranormal investigations among the Po. Luigi is tormented by the seductions of the Devil and, in the quiet of the river, he seeks comfort in God, in the hope of salvation. For these restless and invisible souls in an estranged world, the Po is a refuge, a sacred space, and the water, to which they entrust dreams of happiness to escape loneliness of their lives, becomes a mother for these children of the river.
