Keepers of the Wild (2019)

It is difficult to think of an animal more fierce than a bear, it has a rare combination of size and speed that make it almost impossible for you not to become a knee knocking mess if you stumble across one in the wild. These awesome attributes have made 'owning' a bear a symbol of power and status. Ex-Soviet states have placed bears in small prisons at restaurants, petrol stations, factories and private homes - as entertainment props for passersby. Two such bears in Armenia, Misha and Dasha, had spent 10 years in a small cage, never knowing true freedom. But when one UK based media publication shined a light on the bears' horrific situation, local and international organisations united to save the day - "Keepers of the Wild" follows the protectors, the rescuers and the owners of the wild as they carry on with their day to day activities.
