Ironrite (2019)

It's the late 1950s, and the boy isn't quite old enough yet to go to school, so during the day, it's just him and his mother in the house. His mother gets really scared when the door-to-door salesman comes knocking. She hides them behind the Ironrite machine, and eventually the salesman goes away. But his mom is still scared. Now that he thinks about it, she seems really upset a lot of the time. But his dad buys her so many presents. They make it easier for her to do the laundry and clean the house. So what's wrong?
