Devet Disidenata is the first Virtual Reality (VR) film produced in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The film tells a still forbidden story about Bosniak writers who were prosecuted during the socialist regime in Yugoslavia for their dissent with the communist party. Six of them were arrested after the WWII and accused for collaboration with fascists, although they just held some public functions or were publishing their works unrelated with politics during the war. The last three were prosecuted in 1970s and 1980s because they expressed dissent with the party officials regarding literature. Their lives were destroyed, they lost their jobs, majority of them served prison sentences and they were completely banned from the society, to be never mentioned in any bibliographies or learned about in schools. The film "Nine Dissidents" is telling this story in a satirical way. It is happening in an improvised courtroom where the solicitor of revision is trying to convince the judge and jury to rehabilitate those writers, while the solicitor of history is trying to prevent him together with the jury.
