Blood Writing of the Star in the Sky (2019)

Based on W. G. Sebald's posthumous project Campo Santo, and on the anthropological studies of Dorothy Carrington, Blood Writing of the Star in the Sky is a silent, experimental approach to the gestures, narrations, landscapes and objects related to death in the island of Corsica. Between dream and katábasis, the documentary image is here translated into the unlikely documentation of an inaccessible dimension. The result is an oneiric documentary, that puts in loosely related images the vanishing narrations of Corsican shamanism.
