Dreams of Glass: Sana'y Ngayon Ang Bukas (1999)

Dreams of Glass: Sana'y Ngayon Ang Bukas is a low-budget independent Foreign language film shot entirely in the USA. A romantic melodrama, it stars REY "PJ" ABELLANA (one of the Phillipines' most celebrated former child actors). The movie centers around John (Abellana), a misanthropic but helpless romantic who falls in love with an unattainable coquette (played by the beautiful FAMAS Award winner SANDY ANDOLONG). Emotional obstacles and circumstances keep him from her. BERNADETTE BALDONADO marks her film debut as Leah, a woman desperate for John's attention who lures him away from the arms of his true object of affection. Model/stage actor ROME ROMANNE portrays Dillon, Johns' uniquely calculating young son. Rounding out the cast is SONNY MADERA (a familiar face in Los Angeles' Filipino-American social circles) whose scene-stealing Virgo Award-winning performance as Johns' workplace confidante serves as the movie's comedic relief.
