Cut. The word usually yelled by directors on the sets of all your favourite films to mark the end of a take. Over the past year that word has taken on another meaning in relation to cinemas. The national lockdowns have led to cinemas being cut from our lives with Hollywood delaying all the biggest movie releases as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. With cinemas already struggling to compete with rising streaming services, the past year has been a huge challenge.
