Dark Side of the Sun

The most important star in the universe is changing. Something has altered its twenty-two-year cycle, and people can no longer take the sun for granted. An eighty-year-old scientist makes it his job to warn the world. Yet, no one will listen to the old coot - except two eleven-year-old youngsters. They call him Grandpa and would follow him anywhere, even to the depths of the galaxy. That is if they could. Unfortunately, there is a problem. There is no way to get there unless the old man can figure out the Big Bang theory. Within that mystery is a powerful secret, one that can break the code to deep space exploration. Mr. Steven Lucas is convinced our star is headed for a supernova, even though its mass is considered much too small for that event to occur. However, he is determined to find the answer or blow up the world trying. But he cannot accomplish this feat alone. Being a brilliant scientist, he solicits the technology savvy of the two youngsters, Parker and Joey, who are computer geniuses. His own son, Steve, is skeptical; and Steve's fiancée, Sandy, is cautious. When a solar flare is sighted, it is observed as a sporadic occurrence. Once the flares become more frequent and closer to the earth, it is determined that the planet is under attack. It is all coming to pass just like Mr. Lucas warned. Yet, he has a few tricks up his sleeve, but is it too late?
