Selfie (2021)

One of the feelings that a Bengali grows up with is to wake up by listening Mahalaya on the radio before Durga Puja. Since childhood, we have been hearing the story of the arrival of Ma Durga and the story of slaying the Mahisasur by herself, and the description of her in the mantras. The power of all the gods came together to create Ma Durga, then Ma Durga introduced herself. And that self-identity is the content of my film. Many backward women are deprived of all their favorite things, love, desires, hobbies in life because everything is centered on only one man, and eventually that one man becomes the main cause of their misery. So not only in the mantras of Mahalaya, not only in clay idols, let Indian women declare their identity in themselves.
