Happy B'day, Amy (2021)

Amy is a teenage girl who suffers who borderline personality disorder. On her birthday, Amy is alone at her home, and she's in her most depressing mood. She feels like a train is running through her head, and her skull is going to explode. She has been trying to contact her lover, Nikhil, but he isn't attending the call. And the non-responsiveness of Nikhil aggravates her misery. Amy's loving dad, John, works as a graphic designer, and he's at work. John is always concerned about the extreme mood swings of his daughter, and he calls Amy to console her in the best way he can. After a while, Nikhil calls Amy back and agrees to meet up with Amy at her house. It makes Amy ecstatic, and she dresses up and excitedly awaits Nikhil to come. After that, the conversation between Amy and Nikhil regarding her condition, borderline personality disorder, stirs up things, and Amy ends up assaulting Nikhil. Besides, the self-destructive way Amy reacts to that situation becomes so tragic and heart-breaking to her dad. The film intends to give the message that mental health is much more important than we think. And, not taking care of it on time could make our lives sorrowful forever.
