Song of the Same Night (2021)

When Broadway actress Nia is finally realizing her dreams on the stages of Broadway in New York City COVID-19 shutdown sends her dreams spiraling into a nightmare. The weeks drag on and on turning her small apartment into a suffocating prison until the day she stumbles onto a new social media platform. On the platform she finds people who are just as lost as she is, some even more so, a Korean father whose baby is in ICU while he's stuck in New York City, a Hong Kongese man who couldn't say goodbye to his estranged parents and a Parisian perfumer who lost his sense of smell to COVID-19. These strangers find comfort in sharing the same pain. Their lifelong bond forming while they collaborate on the orchestration of a lullaby for the baby. Each one of them using the music as a much welcomed escape, a sliver of hope in a very dark time but can their on-line collaboration translate to real world happiness?
