In the smokey barrooms of mid-century America, a young burlesque dancer is accused of helping to destroy a marriage by being the third wheel in an erotic tryst. But when the implicating Polaroid picture is presented to her as evidence of her involvement, the young woman has no recollection of the event ever taking place.
