Where I Come From (2020)

Native American Barnie Botone is descended from Guipago, a Kiowa chief. In 1875 Guipago was transported by train to prison. Almost a century later, a young Barnie takes a job as a locomotive engineer with the railroad. He recalls his grandmother's reaction the day he told her about getting the job, and describes his struggles and successes as the only Native American engineer. An animated StoryCorps story.
