Detective Nicholas White has been assigned a case for a missing 17 year old girl, Sophie O'Riley. White must travel to a little town in Rhode Island to find this missing girl and bring her home safe and alive. Detective White's prime suspect is Emmott Gutterbridge, a grizzly looking hermit sort of man. Emmott was spotted at the same coffee shop where Sophie works and went missing. Detective White arrives at Emmott's home that too closely fits Emmott's grizzly, hermit facade. Old newspapers cover every window to this old dilapidated house keeping any visuals from inside the home blocked off. The surrounding areas inside and out are also riddled with all sorts of trash and a heavy aroma of cigarette smoke. Detective White knocks on the front door to be greeted by Emmott himself. Detective White now inside Emmott's kitchen where there is even more trash. Emmott and Detective White sit at the kitchen table that is also full of trash and old cigarettes. Detective White asks Emmott questions about missing Sophie. With no real answers from Emmott, (who is oddly undisturbed by the details and questions) Detective White decides its time to leave. On the way out, unsatisfied tepid Detective White rips off part of the window's newspaper covering. Detective White peers through the hole of the newspaper. On the other side is the ever lurking gloomy interior where Emmott could be up to anything. Detective White has seen enough and must find out what Emmott or who Emmott is hiding. White enters the home only to unravel the many dark corners and mysteries to this home. Will White find Sophie or is Emmott completely innocent?
