The Ascent of Everest (2019)

On the 27th of May, 1953, Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay hoped to ascend to a point where no man had ever arrived before, the top of Mount Everest. The British expedition attempted to reach where no expedition had been able to reach before. In the last 35 years, many teams from different nations had made attempts to conquer Everest but always in vain. The world believed this was an impossible task. With leather boots and heavy equipment, at elevations over 7,000 meters and with a lack of oxygen, each climber's life was in danger. Once they arrived to a height of 8,000 meters the weather conditions changed and winds started to blow at over 200 km/hour making it impossible to walk upright. The small group was unable to move forward and the chance of failure was once again ahead of them.
