Beginning, Middle, End (1994)

Two beatniks stand together on the street, one blowing into a horn --the end of which disappears off-screen, and the other tapping his foot in time to the music. The horn-blowing beatnik blows a huge breath of air into the trumpet mouthpiece, sending a huge bulge traveling along the serpentine length of the trumpet. The other beatnik runs in pursuit of the traveling bulge, arriving at the end of the horn in time to hear a single note emerge and fall from the end of the horn.
