Set in a traditional market in Nigeria, Felicia and Musa is a short film following a day in the life of Felicia as she goes to her local market to buy food for her family, and of Musa, who sells her his produce. This simple interaction - one that happens countless times every day around the world - is made dramatic in the face of unsafe food or foods contaminated with viruses, bacteria and other microbial pathogens that have very real potential to cause harm to Felicia and her family. We watch Felicia shop in the market, interact with Musa and then travel home to cook the food she purchased for her family. We also see Musa grapple with the difficulties of sourcing his produce and the importance of separating unsafe products from the safe foods. Through this story, we are introduced to food safety, the risks unsafe food poses to human health and nutritional security, and the urgent need to ensure that food is safe to eat in every market around the world so that all, especially young children, can thrive.
