Make Grönroos raised his twin daughters alone. So it was natural to share his hobby, folkrace, with them. We see Jessica and Marianne turn into adults and gain independence from their family and each other while taking part in their first races. We also meet stepmom Sinna, a poetry writing professional pest controller, the granddad, the first racer in the family, the half-siblings, the boyfriends and the Finnish folkrace community. Folk racing, in Finnish 'Jokamiehenluokka' ('Everyman's Class'), is an affordable motorsport using cars at the end of their life cycle. To keep it cheap and simple, any car must be sold to anyone placing a fixed price bid on it after races. As in other motorsports, safety issues get attention these days.
