Her Own Destiny (2004)

A soap opera about and for the Brazilian worker: a story about people who win in life through their own efforts. The plot introduces Maria do Carmo, mother of five children, as a person who won in life by fighting for it. Her main battle will be finding her fifth child, a daughter kidnapped shortly after birth. A story about family conflicts and relationships spiced with the rescue of values about which society no longer cares. The plot is divided into two parts: the first,1968, during the beginning of Brazil's Military Dictatorship; the second moves into the present time.
