Boys be... (2000)

It is the year 1999: a year of transience, of endings and beginnings. Few else understand this better than the group of friends about to undertake a new high school year. There is Kyoichi and Chiharu, two best friends who are inevitably drawn to each other; Yoshihiko, a sports star who finds the woman to inspire and guide him; Aki, a dreamy-eyed full-fledged romantic in love with her ex; Makoto, a pervert and self-proclaimed ladies' man and Yumi, the sharp-tongued but kind-hearted friend who helps him out.
