Flesh World is an adult magazine featuring contact ads for prostitutes. It is featured in multiple episodes, but nothing explicit is shown in the magazines.

Rape is mentioned to have happened to some characters, but it is never shown at all.

There are many kisses in the show as there are a lot of romances. Some of these kisses become somewhat sensual, with characters removing some clothing (usually only outer layers like jackets), but thats about as far as they go.

There are multiple relationships between teen and adult characters, some are sexual while others are romantic or just a teen having a crush on an older person.

Nothing too bad other than people laying down together and kissing.

There are numerous adulterous relationships

Two of the characters visit a brothel, and prostitutes scantily clad in lingeries are shown as a parade for the characters, and one of them flips a coin to determine who gets the "new" girl.

A man bashes his head against a wall. When another character looks at the wall there is a large amount of blood on it, and the mans head is injured and bleeding. This is probably the most gorey scene in the series. In a similar scene, a man bashes his head against a mirror which causes it to break and leaves blood on both the mirror and his face.

Wounds are occasionally show but they are almost always very mild, usually just bloodstains on clothing or small cuts.

Domestic abuse is depicted in the show, a woman is beaten by her husband and we see her bruised after the fact.

Multiple corpses are seen throughout the series, but they are almost always lacking in any blood or gore.

A small piece of paper is taken from underneath a girl's fingernail. There is a closeup of the paper being extracted which can be uncomfortable to watch.

There are only a few scenes of violence in the show and none of them are graphic but some a bit intense. There are, however, somber and upsetting scenes in relation to murders not shown on camera.

A man gets shot in the arm. This isn't directly shown but we hear him screaming afterward and then in the next episode he has blood all over him.

A bird is shot with a sniper rifle and blood goes all over the place.

The violence in this is mild in comparison to most TV shows today. Rather the adult content in this series is mostly in dialogue where we hear detailed recalling of how people were murdered or raped.

The season one finale is one of the more violent episodes where there are numerous scenes that show people being shot, beaten or murdered. There really isn't blood shown though. This includes a man being shot and killed, someone being beaten into unconsciousness, a man getting shot in his arm and another being shot multiple times in the chest and an intense moment where a man is smothered to death with a pillow.

A teenage girl is found dead and wrapped in plastic on a riverside, but there is no blood, she just looks pale and dirty.

A character is shown being killed, this scene is particularly intense.

A few fight scenes.

A few characters are shown being shot.

A woman is seen being stabbed.

This series contains a few other mildly violent scenes.

The words "bitch" and "slut" are occasionally said.

Very mild, infrequent expletives are used throughout the series (eg "damn" and "hell").

Cocaine is often seen in the series, mostly in drug deals. It is never visibly used by a character but it is mentioned that some characters have used it.

Smoking is very common in the show, some characters are seen almost always smoking.

Some alcohol consumption and smoking. Some drinking and smoking by teenagers. Nothing to serious.

The series features surreal sequences, some of which feature creepy imagery and semi-jumpscares. These scenes are usually very uncomfortable and are meant to make the viewer feel confused or uneasy. Some of these scenes can be unexpected and will happen without warning.

There are major character deaths which may be upsetting to some viewers.

There is a reoccurring character in the show that is meant to be very disturbing and scary to the viewers. Many scenes with this character can be uncomfortable to watch.

Many scenes take place in hospitals, and some characters are shown in comas or having panic attacks and seizures which can be disturbing for some viewers.

Heavy themes are present in the series, including: domestic abuse, rape, incest, murder and drug use.

Some scenes involve flashing lights/images. The final two episodes of season 2 in particular feature prolonged scenes of flashing lights.

"Twin Peaks" is a dark and atmospheric series. While it isn't too strong in terms of content shown, there are some violent scenes, a few murder flashbacks and scenes where drug use is implied.
