Murder, She Baked (2015)

Hannah Swensen is the owner/operator of Hannah's Cookie Jar, a bakery and café, in the small town of Eden Lake, Minnesota, baking and her cat her life. As she isn't interested in finding a husband, her divorced mother takes it upon herself to find her a man, her choice being dentist Norman Rhodes, who Hannah does like and who likes Hannah in return. But Hannah seems more drawn to Police Detective Mike Kingston, who moved to Eden Lake from Minneapolis after being seconded to assist in the town's first ever murder investigation. The push and pull between Hannah and Mike is that Hannah always seems to find whoever ends up murdered in Eden Lake, she, against Mike's wishes who only wants to keep her safe, always compelled to provide what generally ends up being her valuable two-cents or usually more in investigating herself.
