From what host (Colin) can tell, most of the YouTube content out there for children is pretty awful. Just mind numbing garbage. And perhaps MOST surprising, almost none of the children's content on YouTube has anything to do with French New Wave. How is that possible?. Every child LOVES French New Wave. Or at least I would have to assume. I do not have children of my own, nor do I work with children or in children's entertainment programming in any capacity, BUT if children these days are anything like me when I was their age (which I assume they are) then they're clamoring for French New Wave content aimed at a younger audience. If children these days like French New Wave half as much as I did, then it's a real shame that there's no program they can tune in to where they can discuss their favorite films by Francois Truffaut and other French New Wave filmmakers like Jean-Luc Godard, Claude Chabrol, Jaques Rivette, Agnes Varda and the rest. And so with Truffaut For Kids, Colin set out to fill that void by creating a video series for all the children between the ages of 4 and 8 years old who are obsessed French New Wave.
