Operation #Hashtag

A government operation to disrupt a supposed Islamic terrorist cell in the days leading to the Rio Olympics serves as a chance to dive into the current Brazilian police and legal system. An initiative of the Brazilian Federal Police, with support of the FBI, the operation involved over 100 Brazilian police officers in 10 different states. As the bright lights of the Olympics start to fade away a few weeks after, the underbelly of the Operation shows, at best, questionable evidences of a truly organized terrorist cell capable of any actual threats, but dramatically changed the lives of the 12 accused men.
