The Last Goodbye to Mama

Ding Xiaojun was born in the late autumn of 1986 in Northern Jiangsu province. He and his mother Ding Biyun lived in a small city and depended on each other until he left home for university in Shanghai at the age of 18. At first he wanted to stand out, but was laughed at and ridiculed. He began to skip class and engage in activities outside of school. At first he kept his mother from knowing the truth about his situation while she continued to live a busy and difficult life in the small town alone. After a minor accident, the relationship between mother and son gradually became estranged. In his senior year, Ding Xiaojun was sought out by scouts and began to work in the modeling industry. Affected by the financial crisis, shows in Tokyo, Japan were temporarily cancelled. Stuck in a foreign country with no money, Ding Xiaojun realized that in providing for him, his mother did not have it easy. After reconciling with his mother, he returned to China and returned to school to resume his education. Later, he entered a newspaper office and started his professional career. On New Year's Eve in 2010, Ding Xiaojun plans to propose to his girlfriend. But on this day, his mother Ding Biyun was diagnosed with tumor bone metastases. From then on, Ding Xiaojun gave up "Hu Piao" and his career in the big city, returning to his hometown to help his mother fight cancer.
